Haysi Funeral Home is a special place in Haysi, Virginia, where families go when someone they love has passed away. It is a quiet and peaceful building that helps people say goodbye to their loved ones in a respectful and caring way. The people who work at the funeral home are kind and understanding. They know how hard it is to lose someone, and they are there to help every step of the way.
The main goal of Haysi Funeral Home is to support families during one of the most difficult times in their lives. When someone dies, there are many things that need to be done, like planning the funeral, writing the obituary, choosing a casket or urn, and deciding where the person will be buried. The staff at the funeral home takes care of all of these things, so the family can focus on remembering their loved one.
One of the things Haysi Funeral Home is known for is its personal service. Every person is different, and the funeral home believes every life should be honored in a special way. They talk with the family and learn about the person who passed away. Then they help plan a service that matches their life, their beliefs, and their personality. It could be a traditional funeral, a simple graveside service, or a quiet cremation with no ceremony. The choice is always up to the family.
Haysi Funeral Home helps plan and organize funeral ceremonies. These services can be held at the funeral home, in a church, or at another special place. Families can choose music, readings, and photos to make the service personal and meaningful.
For families who choose burial, the funeral home assists with everything from selecting a casket to arranging transportation to the cemetery. They also help with graveside services and final goodbyes.
Cremation is another option some families choose. Haysi Funeral Home offers both direct cremation (with no service) and cremation with a memorial or funeral service. They help families select an urn and can assist with scattering ashes or keeping them in a special place.
Losing someone is hard. That’s why Haysi Funeral Home offers grief support. They can connect families with counselors, support groups, or helpful resources to provide comfort and healing.

Janet, Shane and Rocky were absolutely great! The hometown care and compassion gave us as the family the comfort of the familiarity.

Very respectful staff and all the funerals I have attended here they have treated the friends and family with kindness, price is decent and its a very cleanly place. My only issue I have seen is the waiting room/guest room and kitchen is all downstairs which makes it hard for the disabled patrons. Not sure if they have any of these amenities upstairs for easier access for them or if there is an elevator.

They provide a service no one wants but everyone will need. They are a family owned funeral home with a rich history of caring for this small mountain community. They are caring people who provide a wonderful atmosphere to families in a time of grief.
